Organized team activities did not go very well for Melvin Oliver. He tore the MCL (medial collateral ligament) in his right knee on Tuesday. Oliver was injured while participating in a drill that didn’t even involve contact. This isn’t a huge loss to the 49er’s though. Oliver wasn’t expected to see as much playing time as he did last season when he made 50 tackles and had a fumble recovery for a touchdown. The 49er’s expect free agent acquisition Aubrayo Franklin to notch a lot of minutes on the D-Line. They also hope to sign former Eagles defensive lineman Sam Rayburn this weekend.
