Matt Maico of Instant 49ers disects last week's loss to the Packers pretty well.

There will be a lot of discussion about Alex Smith, but he was not alone in his substandard play. It's amazing to think this offense has not scored more than 20 points in the past eight games.

He's got a point. Assuming that the 49ers only score 20, can they hold the Seahawks to less than that? I don't see how.

Boy, it turns out that the Niners scored more than 20 points and held Seattle to less than 20 points. Gore had a good night by rushing for 144 yards. TE Davis had a TD is starting to look more comfortable in the offense. It is possible if the Niners win against Arizona and Denver, Seattle losing their last two games that the Niners would win the NFC West. Who woulda thunk it?
