Walsh has drawn comparisons between the 1979-81 Niners who went, in order, 2-14 then 6-10 then 13-3, and Mike Nolan's current team. In fact, it sounds like he expects the 2007 49ers to put up a record similar to that 1981 team: "A lot will depend on their draft and free-agent signings," Walsh is quoted as saying in this article. "But I think they're on track to do very well. It's important for the 49ers not to talk their way into it — the hollow mark of a desperate team — but to play their way into it. That's how we played, and I think that's what they're doing." What do you think? |
