Week 2: St. Louis @ 49ers

OK, here it is, week two and the Niners are playing at home against the Rams. It may be a foregone conclusion that the Rams are going to win, but anything can happen, that's why the games are played, not done on paper. I have to be optimistic, it is a possibility that the Niners can win. Don't slam me to hard when you disagree with me.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Niners pulled out an upset. The Rams played well last week against a good team in Denver. But I can't see how the Niners defense will stop the Rams offense.

I was actually impressed with the way the Niners played last week, even though they lost. I can see them pulling this one out, really. Smith has come a long way from last season, and I can eventually see him being one of the better QBs in the NFC. A Rams win is not a given in this one.

How about that! A win for the 49ers, who woulda thunk it? I did! Even Chris Berman of ESPN called it! What a glorious time!
