| Hill named starting quarterback Coach Singletary has named Shaun Hill starting quarterback of the 49ers. Singletary says he likes Hill's consistency and that he showed him plenty at the end of last season.      |

Well, they wasted a first round, first pick on him...I'd play him...as bad as some think he is, his second season was a major improvement over his first... Hill closed out the year good...but who did he really beat last season?...the Rams twice...the Jets?...and two other nobodies?....I don't see him as the answer.

I am sure Coach is going by what he saw in camp. First round pick nothing. This team needs to get things going. They have been sitting in the cellar long enough. |

All I am saying is, if you are going to play a nobody like Hill...give my football cards, I mean Alex Smith a final shot at getting it right...is that asking for much...  I agree about Crabtree, even if the kid thinks he is worth more than he actually is. Crabtree can turn around Smith's career...  |

What don't you understand here???... I have all of one, Shaun Hill rookie cards, and dozens of Smith cards! Like the 49ers, I invested more in one than the other...so they should be like me, and give Smith the damn ball! is that asking much from a loser of a team?...I think not!...  |

| Re: Hill named starting quarterback Hill might be a poor man's QB according to Garth but that is who Singletary wants leading the team. I'm hoping his unorthodox old school coaching is going to help this team turn it around. Signing Crabtree would help but if he's willing to sit out the year for a better deal oh well. JaMarcas Russell did that and hasn't been an impact at all. Yeah he's getting his money but he is a joke and its not because he plays for the Raiders |
