Peavy's W-L Record

Hinted by the Gaslamp Ball Padres blog, Jake Peavy, one of the best NL pitchers, had a record of 5-11 going into yesterday's game. With the win, he's 6-11. How is that possible?

The Padres are above .500 (albeit a few games) and tied with the DBacks at .5 games out of the wild card.

Peavy's numbers aren't great this year. He's a got 4.58 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. While this WHIP is not horrible, it's not near the 1.00 that it should be for someone of Peavy's caliber.

Best thing about Peavy is I traded him for Albert Pujols early this year... ...Peavy is better than his record...he'll be back. Hopefully he won't be the next Oliver Perez.
