Top Three Franchise Players- Padres

1. Tony Gwynn- Seems to go without much arguments that he lands at the number 1 spot. Hs is a Hall-Of-Famer who spent his whole 20 season career with the Padres. He also had a career batting average of .338 and 3141 hits.

2. Trevor Hoffman- He is the All-time saves leader, one of the best closers to ever play the game. He is also still playing today.

3. Dave Winfield- He was a Hall-Of-Famer who was one of the best Padres to play. He also had 3110 career hits, along with 465 career homeruns.

Slim pickings...I like Randy Jones in the mid 70's...who was on his way to being one of their best before injuries.

and Ozzie Smith, the Wizard got his start their...he can rival Winfield...
