Padres Sign Tadahito Iguchi

The Padres have signed Iguchi free-agent infielder to a one-year deal. He'll probably start or at least get a few starts a week.

It really can't hurt. They have a hole to fill after giving up Barfield last seaon, and he has a decent bat. They need some hitters in that lineup.

I like it. Iguchi was always a good fantasy 2B for me, so you know he can produce. Definitely an upgrade from Marcus Giles, that's for sure.

The Padres keep trying different 2nd baseman. Bellhorn, Giles, etc...I'd stay away from him fantasy wise. San Diego is death to offensive statistics.
