The San Diego Padres have reportedly signed left-handed starter Randy Wolf, pending a physical.

Wolf hasn't pitched since July 3rd after having surgery in August.

I've always liked Wolf. He's had some health problems in recent years but he's a solid pitcher to have. Plus, he's a lefty!

He is a good strike out pitcher that would benefit from a pitchers park like San Diego. Good signing if he is healthy.

What kind of contract? It's a huge risk. I'm sure it's incentive laden based on Innings pitched.
