Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak Eight wins in a row instead of eight losses. I am in utter disbelief. In this stretch, Williams is accredited for 2 wins and Cassidy is credited for three. I am in a state of disarray. Hoffman has a couple more saves under his belt too...ALL BECAUSE OF THIS DANG THREAD....Come on Cubbies break the streak today.

Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak Boy you really know how to rub a guys nose in it dont you...oh and by the way for those of you that don't know...thats NINE...count them nine in a row...Padres or Friars or the goofs of the West beat the Cubs ace to make this thread a joke. Good grief.

Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak Lefty you had read my mind. Maybe the Padres had to get all of spring's wins out of their system before going on a torrid losing streak. Let this be the beginning of a beautiful losing streak. Hoffman win the loss...and counting.

Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak The one game losing streak is put to a screeching halt with a Padres win last night. Park with the win and Hoffman with the save. The Pads scored three runs and shut out the Brews. Park gave them 6 innings with 7 hits 1 walk and 4 SOs. The losing streak is looking bleak with another game with the Brews and then three at Chicago. I still have my fingers crossed.

Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak Two in a row for the <ahem> beloved Friars. A whopping eight runs and it was only close because their set up guy gave up five runs. Peavy pitched seven scoreless and the Padres are almost a .600 team. Next up the Truly beloved Cubbies. Last edited by pete_b : 05-14-2006 at 08:37 PM.

Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak The win against the Cubs makes the winning streak three in a row. The Padres are tied for first with the Rockies. A five game jump in just two weeks. I hope this isn't their year. Do you guys think that the Pads have what it takes?

Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak The Padres beat the Cubs today by a score of 9-0 to sweep the Cubs and be 7-0 against them for the season. This makes 14 wins out of the last 15 games for the Pads. Next for the Pads are the DBacks who are only a game and a half behind the Pads and Rockies for first. This is a big series for the Pads...lets hope they choke.

Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak Alright, one loss and counting. The Pads pitched better in that they only gave up three earned runs. Park went seven and only gave up one. But the Pads defense gave up three unearned runs. What a shame

| Re: Padres losing -- make that, WINNING -- streak The streak is back to two games. The pressure of Arizona being in the West is getting to them. Peavy only gave up three runs but got to his 109 pitches in five innings. The bullpen gave up two more runs. But in total the Pads pitching gave up a whopping 13 hits. So sorry. Lets make it three!!!
