Milton Bradley tears ACL

Milton Bradley of the San Diego Padres is out for the rest of the year with a torn ACL. They freaky thing is, the knee injury occurred while Bradley was being restrained by Padres coaches while arguing with umpire Mike Winters. Rotowire.com calls it "one of the most bizarre injuries in recent memory." Bradley is done for the year and will miss most of 2008 as well. Can you believe this stuff?

Cool Re: Milton Bradley tears ACL

I saw that. That's what happens when you act like an idiot and throw tantrums. It's not different from Kevin Brown breaking his hand from punching a wall.

Now the Padres have to fight for their playoff lives without one of their hottest bats.

Re: Milton Bradley tears ACL

What do you think of the talk that the ump baited him into it?

If you go back and look at the tape, you can see that the first base coach was already jawing with the first-base ump before Bradley got involved. I'd love to know what was being said. Bradley compared it to Joey Crawford of the NBA, who got suspended for antagonizing Tim Duncan last year.
