The latest trade is out of Houston as they send 3B Morgan Ensberg to the Padres. No word yet on what for.

Why would San Diego want this move. He hasn't been able to hit this year, and they have a good young hitter at 3B in Kouzmanoff. This seems like a useless move to me.

Sounds like he will be a bench player and a bat and occasionally will spell Kouz.

Btw, the Padres only sent a player to be named to Houston.

Looks like maybe you're right, john. In his first start with the Pads, Ensberg hit a pair of two-run homers in an 11-0 win over Arizona.

Ensberg's hit three homers in 12 games for the Padres.

As a result, manager Bud Black says he's going to start playing him at first base against left handed pitching. So, good move?
