All-Star pitcher Chris Young left during the third inning of yesterday's Padres vs. Rockies game with a strained abdominal muscle. "I didn't throw many more pitches after I first felt it," Young told reporters afterwards. "I didn't feel it again until I went out to start the third. ... "I didn't know the sensation I was feeling, so I called out the trainer." No word yet as to how long he's expected to be out.

Young had to leave last Tuesday's game against the Mets too. On Monday, he threw in the bullpen, and it looks like he might be good to make his next start on Thursday or Friday. Considering the team is currently facing off against the Diamondbacks and this weekend starts a series against the Dodgers, I definitely think they need this guy healthy and ready to go.
