| Re: Maddux wins No. 336 oh really ............. actually i find this more impressive Strikeouts in 9 innings by a single pitcher 20 Roger Clemens, Boston, Sept. 18, 1996 at Detroit. 20 Roger Clemens, Boston, April 29, 1986 vs. Seattle. |

| Re: Maddux wins No. 336 Neither has ever come up big in the post-season. Clemens failures with Boston are well-documented, from his mediocre performance in 86 against the Mets to being tossed against Oakland. He won one big game for the Yankees against seattle and that was it. madduz for years did nothing in the post-season as well, but at least he travels with his team.

| Re: Maddux wins No. 336 Maddux update - he won his 340th career game today, beating San Francisco 4-2. According to the Associated Press, "The 41-year-old Maddux gave up one run and five hits in seven innings. The soft tosser won an intriguing duel against one of the majors' top up-and-coming power pitchers in 22-year-old Matt Cain (2-9)." So what's the secret to his continued success? |
