Marty Schottenheimer on the hotseat

Let's face it -- outside of winning a Super Bowl this year, there's not much Marty Schottenheimer can do to save his job with the San Diego Chargers. As Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports puts it, "Schottenheimer and Chargers general manager A.J. Smith don't get along. They had a public tiff over the decision to let quarterback Drew Brees go. It got so ugly that team president Dean Spanos had to sit them down to tell them to play nice." Smith will fire Schottenheimer at the end of the year, no doubt about it. The only question is whether or not the GM will lose his job, too. What do you think?

Chargers are riding high. Maybe if they get to the super bowl, Marty will finally decide to retire. One can only hope.

Cool Re: Marty Schottenheimer on the hotseat

Marty's son Brian is doing a pretty good job as offensive coordinator of the JETS...He's not as conservative as his papa.
