San Diego V Oakland

Yet another tight loss to one of the NFL's better teams. Unfortunately for coach Norv Turner, the NFL doesn't reward teams for "almost-wins" but luckily for Turner, his boss A.J. Smith seems to be keeping the faith with his hand-picked successor to Marty Schottenheimer. Meanwhile, the rest of the free football-lovin' world remains skeptical that Turner is the right guy to lead the Chargers to a Super Bowl. COOL STAT: The Chargers' leading rusher against the Falcons was Jacob Hester, whose one carry came on a fake field goal for 28 yards. THIS WEEK: vs. Raiders (3-9)
