It appears as though Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer came away impressed with QB Phillip Rivers following this weekend's minicamp. Said the coach, ""Its hard for me to give A's to anybody this early... But I would say a B-plus. I thought he did a terrific job. I was very pleased." Vote of confidence from the old ball coach never hurt anything. Maybe Rivers development will take some of the sting of losing Brees away from ol' Marty, eh?

Usually B+ means you have done something and fallen short of perfect...Rivers has even taken the test yet...I like the guy, but this is way optimistic.
