The Chargers said linebacker Shawne Merriman was targeted by Tennessee and suffered a sprained left knee on a dirty play by two Titans during the second quarter. Merriman identified center Kevin Mawae as one player but didn't know the identity of the second player. "It was a cheap shot," Merriman said after the Chargers' 23-17 overtime victory. "It was a real dirty play," safety Marlon McCree said. "I'm sure our coaches will turn it in (to the league) and they (Titans players) should get fined for what they did. this is a ridiculous claim, Merriman is just crying becuase he missed out on the game even though a day prior to actually playing he was listed as doubtful, but he wants to be a big hero and come back quickly and just got an even worse injury. if he wasnt ready he shouldnt have played, but he did play and got injured just as badly.

i saw the game and i think it was an excellent game against 2 good teams, its unfortunate that there were so many injuries but it wasnt a rougher game than normal and being rough is the game of football right? i dont see us complaining that Vince, Micheal Griffin and Jacob Bell got injured, do you?

this is almost as bad as that 3rd string QB that got injured during pre season against the titans a few years ago when T-Rac (the titans mascot) ran over his foot and he tried to sue the titans...to which he obviously lost
