| Ron Rivera to Chargers Ron Rivera has agreed to terms with the San Diego Chargers. No, not as a head coach -- that job still belongs to Norv Turner -- but as the linebackers coach after he was unceremoniously let go by the Chicago Bears. "It's just time to move on again, so I will move on and I will prosper. I will bounce back. I will get an opportunity," Rivera told reporters during a conference call, occuring prior to his decision to join Turner's staff. What do you guys make of all this?

| Re: Ron Rivera to Chargers ![]() "It's been my goal all along to help Ron, to do everything I could to get Ron an opportunity to get a head football coaching job and it's no more than that. We've tried to do that. Ron had a contract. I don't see it as a firing or anything like that. His contract expired and he wants to go in one direction, and I'd like to go in one. No more than that." "Those are the things Ron and I talked about," Smith said. "We feel good about the things we did together during that time, but no more needs to be said about that. That's between he and I." lovie smith. Just a mutual parting of the way's it seem's,at least on the surface. ![]() |

| Re: Ron Rivera to Chargers The Chargers are resembling a coacing staff that was obliterated in the offseaseon. However I still think their screw no mtter who they get. Turner is not the coach to bring a championship to any team as a Head Coach. |
