Rivers injured, will miss Pro Bowl

According to the Associated Press, "Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers won't play in the Pro Bowl because of a foot injury... Chargers spokesman Bill Johnston said Tuesday that Rivers sprained his right foot against the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 31 and aggravated it in the Chargers' 24-21 playoff loss to New England."

Gut reaction is: it's the Pro Bowl. Who cares. He should be fine for the start of next season, right?

I would think he'd be okay.

Does anybody even watch the Pro Bowl? It's even more boring than the NHL All-Star Game.

A warm jar of monkey urine is more important than the pro-bowl. There is no need for players to risk injury in a game that no one wants to play in and no one wants to watch.
