It’s never too early to start campaigning for the 2006 NFL MVP Award. The only unfortunate situation is that the NFL MVP is not awarded through fan voting. So what I have done to show my support for LaDainian Tomlinson’s race for the 2006 MVP Awards is created a website http://www.LTFORMVP.com and t-shirts saying LT for MVP.

I was born and raised in San Diego but now currently reside in Minnesota – I moved here for the weatherJ. I was sparked by this idea by a co-worker who did the same thing this past summer/fall for MLB MVP Award Winner, Justin Morneau. I don’t know if the exposure helped or not in Justin’s race for the MLB MVP Award, but I’m sure it didn’t hurt to have hundreds and thousands of fans wearing a shirt that said “33 For MVP.”

Brees should get a few votes for the season he is having........but i think this could be the biggest 1-2 gap ever for LT

the season he is having is just amazing

i have wondered lately if he is setting a record this season no one is talking about.........what is the most # of records set in one season by one player ? i would say LT is setting that standard right now

I don't think there's much of race this year. The only other 2 candidates would be Drew Brees and Peyton Manning and those guys are way behind LT. LT might as well make room in his trophy case for this one and perhaps a Lombardi Trophy.

I think Brees fell off the voting with the loss. They were on a roll when they beat Dallas only to follow it up with a dud.

You have nothing to worry about. He will win it unanimously. How is it even an issue? Nobody's close to this guy for first place. The argument is for second place.

Hmm... I wonder where you guys think this ranks among the all-time great single season performances ever, first by a running back and then by any NFL player. I definitely think it's got to be right up there.

LaDainian definitely made his mark in NFL history with his performance this year! The only other running backs that comes to mind that has ever performed as well as he did goes back to the 70's and 80's. L.T. is top 3 running backs of all time. As far as NFL player, he's definitely Top 20, but when he wins the super bowl a few times, he will be in the top 5.

And not sure you knew this when you posted, but LT has in fact been named the NFL MVP. So those shirts of your should sell like hotcakes now!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing he is the MVP........
