LT sets touchdown record

According to the Associated Press, "Tomlinson scored three touchdowns Sunday, including the final two in a span of 47 seconds late in the game, to break the NFL single-season record with 29 TDs. He led the Chargers to a 48-20 win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday."

It was pretty much a foregone conclusion that LT was going to break the record. The only question now is, how many TDs does he finish with?

Re: LT sets touchdown record

This is weird. The record's broken in just a few years. Are RBs getting that much better or are defenses getting worse?

Re: LT sets touchdown record

I'm not going to accuse anyone here, but LT doesn't fuel his body with only Rice Krispie cereal.

However, I did not state which LT I was talking about.

Try last year...

Its more of talented Half backs getting a lot of touches near the goal line...and maybe a rookie QB that you don't want throwing in the red zone when you got a horse name LT...

Will this guy burn out as quickly as Earl Campbell did?

Re: LT sets touchdown record

Tomlinson's more than just a product of a rookie QB and a league-wide tendency to run the halfback in the red zone, though. The dude is a special, special talent who will probably set this TD record so high that it may never be broken. And, no, it doesn't look like he's going to fizzle out anytime soon. LT may be the best ever by the time he's done.

I thought that when Emmitt broke it, then Preist Homes, then Alexander, so who knows?

Seahawks Huddle, WA - 12 hours ago

On Sunday, December 11th, 2006 NFL history was rewritten as San Diego Chargers' running back Ladainian Tomlinson broke Seattle Seahawks' feature back Shaun Alexander's single season record for rushing touchdowns when he squeezed through to the left pylon of the end zone for his 3rd touchdown of the day in a 48-20 win over the Denver Broncos. Tomlinson now has 29 rushing touchdowns with three games remaining on the schedule, two at home.

Yeah, I like it, but really don't think it's LT. His arms look too small, his gut too big. And why the helmet?
