| Chargers Playoff Tickets Chargers Playoff Tickets From the franchise's earliest days in the old American Football League, Chargers playoff tickets have been a hot commodity amongst professional football fans throughout the state of California. In fact, under coach Sid Gillman, the 1960 Chargers reached the AFL Championship Game in their very first season of existence. Playing out of Los Angeles for that season and that season only, the team lost the title game to the Houston Oilers, 24-16. In fact, in the ten seasons that the AFL was around, the Chargers played for the championship five times. However, the team could manage just a single league title, which came with a 51-10 victory over the Boston Patriots in 1963. The years immediately following the merger were somewhat lean for the Chargers, with the San Diego ballclub failing to reach the postseason again until 1979. Their first ever Super Bowl appearance came in 1994, when the Chargers won the AFC West with an 11-5 record and went on to beat the Dolphins and Steelers en route to the AFC Championship. However, they lost the big game to the San Francisco 49ers that year, and to date are still looking for their first Vince Lombardi Trophy. Maybe this is the year. What do you think? Purchasing Chargers Playoff Tickets Like with most other National Football League teams, Chargers playoff tickets are offered first to San Diego season ticket holders. In fact, as the team's official website states, "Season ticket holders are the only fans guaranteed the opportunity to purchase tickets to home playoff games." Of course, with the Chargers selling well in excess of 50,000 season passes each year in recent years, securing playoff tickets can be quite the chore for fans of the NFL club in San Diego. Not to mention that the current rates for season tickets range anywhere from $450 to more than $800 annually. However, it seems that single-game passes are more readily available at Qualcomm Stadium than at many other NFL venues, so the odds that any given fan will be able to secure tickets to see the Chargers play in the postseason, should they qualify, appear to be better than average. And, of course, you could always contact a trustworthy third-party ticket seller for assistance, right?
