San Diego Chargers: Week 13 Game Preview

Intent on keeping their five game winning streak intact, the San Diego Chargers travel to Buffalo to face the Bills on sunday. The Bills have been a resurgent team in the past few weeks. Buffalo showed their resiliency last weekend after allowing Jacksonville come back to tie in a game the led the entire way before winning on a last second field goal.

The Buffalo Bills (5-6) are a team on the rise after winning three of their last four games. They're a game behind the Jets for second place in the AFC East. The Bills' offense was bolstered by the return of running back Willis McGahee, who had missed the last two games with three broken ribs. The special teams have been the best unit of the team. Roscoe Parrish leads the league in punt return yards with 319. Terrence McGee is fourth in the league in kickoff return average. Punter Brian Moorman is the only punter still averaging over 40 yards per punt.

Buffalo quarterback J.P.Losman has been having a better go of it over the last two games where he has had a 71.2 passer rating. For the season, Losman has 2007 yards, ten touchdown passes and eight interceptions. Wide reciever Lee Evans is eight in the league in recieving yards with 880 yards and four touchdowns. Willis McGahee has 642 yards and three touchdowns. Last weeks 27 point total against the Jaguars was Buffalo's highest point total of the season.

And now the bad news...

Buffalo ranks 29th in total offense. The passing offense is 30th in the league with 159 yards per game. The rushing offense is 26th averaging an anemic 96 yards per game. The Bills defense is 21st overall. The rushing defense is 26th in the league, giving up 135 yards per game and 16th in passing defense, allowing 203 yards per game. The offense is averaging 17 points per game and giving up 20 to the opposition. Good luck against the most dangerous rusher and the highest powered offense in the league this weekend...
