| Billy Volek trade Anyone else here this that this was a brilliant move by the Chargers? You acquire a veteran backup in Billy Volek and only give up a sixth round pick - unless Rivers gets hurt and Volek participates in 50% of the teams offensive plays this season. Then it becomes a fifth rounder, which is no big deal if you need the guy to run your offense for half a season. "I think we're a good football team and I'd like to protect it," San Diego general manager A.J. Smith told the Associated Press. "We just like his experience factor, and he's a pretty solid quarterback. More importantly, the reason is it adds depth. He was looking for a change of scenery and we were contemplating if he was the right guy to add to our depth." So what do you think? Great deal by the Charger front office, huh?

| Re: Billy Volek trade San Diego could use him since they got rid of Brees during the off-season. Phillip Rivers doesn't impress me but neither does Volek. At least two decent quarterbacks is better than one. |

| Re: Billy Volek trade Well, I think it sucks, How could the titans keep Collins. and trade one of there more popular players. I am a Titans fan and Tennessean and the people and community loved Billy. While Mcnair was hurt Volek and Bennett was the hottest combo in Pro Sports, not just the NFL but PRO SPORTS... I garantee that the Titans would have fared better than 0-5 start. Collins sucks... |

| Welcome to GoTeamsGo jayson. It was a bad move, but in the long run, it really doesn't matter because Vince Young has played very well. So it looks like the QB position is set for the next decade. |
