Should be a very winnable series for Duncan and the Spurs, but any team with AI and Carmello is cause for some concern.

After losing Game 1 to the Nuggets, the Spurs came back yesterday and tied up the series with a 97-88 victory. Duncan led San Antonio with 22 points and also blocked five shots, while Tony Parker added 20 points and Manu Ginobili scored 17. But Denver almost came back to win this one, cutting a 17 point Spurs lead down to just 3 with less than a minute to go. Looks like this one could be a dogfight to the end.

The Spurs have a 3-1 lead and can eliminate Denver on Wednesday.

According to the Associated Press, "Robert Horry.. hit a 3-pointer from the right corner with 30 seconds left to seal San Antonio's 96-89 victory over the Nuggets on Monday night that gave the Spurs a 3-1 lead in the first-round series... [Tim] Duncan led the Spurs with 22 points, although he was frustrated at only getting to the free throw line six times, while Manu Ginobili added 18 and Parker 15."

In the series against the Spurs, there were very few openings for Allen Iverson. When he would use a crossover dribble, Tony Parker or Bruce Bowen would still be right there with him. On the occasions where he was able to get by one of his main defenders, help was almost always there.
