According to the Associated Press, "Five days after his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence, Ron Artest said he'd stumbled as a father and husband -- and the Sacramento Kings announced they would let the volatile player return to the team." The press conference, which was referred to as "hastily called" by the AP, was to announce that Artest would play Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. Too soon for him to come back?

I don't know. Brett Myers of the Phillies, after his domestic violence situation, only missed one start last season if I recall correctly.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised the Kings didn't end up cutting him. Too much money to let slide I guess. Artest says the right things, about doing charitable work with domestic violence organizations and what not but we've seen him say the same things before (on different matters granted).
