Rutgers vs. Maryland Football

The (3-0) Scarlet Knights welcome (2-2) Maryland to Jersey next Saturday. The game will be on ABC although a time is not yet determined.

Rutgers had a week off this past week and haven't allowed a point since September 7th.

How many yards can Ray Rice get against the Terrapins?

Re: Rutgers vs. Maryland Football

Maryland allows 156.0 rush yards per game, third worst in the ACC. Look for Rice to have a big day in a Rutgers victory.

Re: Rutgers vs. Maryland Football

In the 3rd quarter, Maryland has just taken a 20-17 lead with a field goal. Rutgers can't join West Virginia as top ranked Big East teams taken a nosedive this week...can they?

Teel has thrown for two TDs and Ray Rice only has 73 rushing yards.

Rutgers turned the ball over on downs inside their own territory. Very next play, Maryland easily runs it into the endzone and lead 33-24 before the xtra point.

Rutgers dropped the ball...BIG TIME!

You're not kidding man. It's a shame the "big 3" in the big east have taken a loss this early in the year. They still have great teams and a few undefeated teams though.

Those who said Rutgers wasn't battle-test enough apparently look pretty smart right now

Yes and no. The teams we thought would lead the way - Louisville, WVU and Rutgers, all have at least one loss. But look, the conference still has 3 unbeaten teams in South Florida, Cincinnati and UConn. I for one am very interested in seeing how long those three can keep it one, especially the Bulls and Bearcats.

That said, the Scarlet Knights really blew it here. No way they should've lost to a Maryland team that was 2-2 coming in.

Very valid point. I have been pretty impressed with the Bulls. The bearcats are no slouches either. Will stand back and watch.
