There's a bit of a controversy today stemming from the behavior of the student section at Rutgers during last weeks Rutgers/Navy football game.

A Jersey Ledger report says some fans chanted expletives at the Navy football players. The same Navy football players who after they finish school will join the United States Military and likely go overseas.

Rutgers University President McCormick sent a letter of apology to U.S. Naval Academy Vice Admiral Fowler earlier today.

The Double-A Zone blog details their feelings about the select disrespectful Rutgers fans.

Totally classless. Shouting obscenities at any opponent, at any sporting event is extremely distasteful in and of itself. But when you consider who Rutgers was playing, it's absolutely disgusting. Anyone who was caught doing it should have their ticket privileges revoked immediately.
