The 2007 college football season kicks off this Thursday in Jersey with the 16th ranked Rutgers Scarlet Knights defending their home turf against the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills are from the Mid-American East conference and are coming off a two win season. Meanwhile, Rutgers features a Heisman Trophy candidate in running back Ray Rice.

How many yards will Rice pick up in the season opener?

My prediction, at least 150 yards (and if you haven't guessed, a BIG Rutgers win)

This one's going to get ugly early. I say Rice only gets about 100-120 yards and sits for most of or all of the second half.

Rutgers starts red hot out of the gate, they have a 21-0 lead through 2 quarters.

Ray Rice scored twice and has racked up 79 yards on 11 rushes already.

I believe Rice finished the game with 189 yards and 3 touchdowns. (and hey, my prediciton was right )

The Scarlet Knights racked 563 yards of total offense in this one, and Teel even threw for 300 yards. Overall, a nice warm up for them.
