Rutgers vs Cincinnati

All the talk about Rutgers undefeated season and BCS hopes may be going down the drain with the Rutgers vs Cincinnati game.

Right now, unranked Cincinnati is putting a whipping on Rutgers. It's 20-3 in the middle of the 3rd quarter.

Rutgers put a stop to a Cinci TD drive, holding them to a field goal. But the scoreboard tells the story.

Re: Rutgers vs Cincinnati

Spectacular 75 yard TD run by team captain #85 Brent Celek.

Cincinnati 27
Rutgers... still stuck at 3.

Re: Rutgers vs Cincinnati

Dissapointing for Rutgers but they'll still be playing for a BCS Bowl. A nice season to build on.

Now it's all up to Shiano to stay.

Re: Rutgers vs Cincinnati

This is very upsetting to me. While I love all cincinnati sports, I was pulling for Rutgers. I love to see "cinderella teams" try to win the championship. I really feel if they won this then the WVa game they had a good shot of playing OSU.

Re: Rutgers vs Cincinnati

I watched last nights game, between time-outs and commercials in the Va.Tech vs Wake Forest game, and all of the 4th qrtr.

If Rutgers shows up against WVU playing like they played last night, it will be a massacre.
Slaton and White would both rush for 200+ yds, and White could easily throw the ball for another 300.

Hopefully a loss to WVU wouuld be the catalist for Schiano to negociate with Miami for Cokers job.

Re: Rutgers vs Cincinnati

Yesterday was the classic trap game, and inexperienced Rutgers fell into it hook, line and sinker. Between Louisville and WVU, with all the hype about a possible unbeaten season, Big East title and BCS title game bid, against an opponent that they should have beaten. Once the Bearcats got them down, Ray Rice all but disappeared. Between the lack of preparation, the sloppy play and the way that panic affected the playcalling, a lot of this loss is on Schiano's shoulders.
