Rutgers defeated UConn Sunday Night to remain undefeated by a score of 24-13. They did it with their usual mix of running and special teams play. They scored twice on special teams play with a recovered fumble and a blocked punt which was returned for a score. Rice only had 79 yards rushing but scored. QB Teel only completed 11 passes and had a pick. If Rutgers wants to challenge the Cardinals and Mountaineers, Teel must play better.

Something to look at though, the Rutgers defense allowed over 200 yards rushing but the penalties and turnovers hurt the Huskies.

Rutgers is now 8-0 and was ranked #12 in the BCS as of Sunday.

See, this final is surprising to me, because I watched for a while and Rutgers jumped out to a big lead early on; 17-0 if I'm not mistaken. Which means that they more or less let Connecticut back into the game (a startling trend among Big East teams). On the whole, it's not the big impressive win it should've been, and will do little to sway those not yet sold on the Scarlet Knights.
