| Re: Can Rutgers Play For National Title? No, they can't. Rutgers is having a fine season, but let's be realistic here. They are unbeaten, and last week they were ranked just 19th in the country by the Associated Press. They should move up this week, and the win over Pitt will convince a lot of people that they're for real. But even if they beat Louisville (who looked eminently beatable this weekend) and WVU (which will be a tall order), they'd need a lot of help in the form of losses by USC, Auburn, Florida, Notre Dame, OSU, Michigan, Texas, Arkansas, Clemson, and probably others. No way all of that happens.

| Re: Can Rutgers Play For National Title? woah woah woah lefty to go getting ahead of yourself, your telling me an undefeated rutgers is less impressive then a 1 lose team,i think people need to get out of their head that the big east is the worst bcs team in NCAA i can make so mant cases for the ACC, Big ten with only three good teams this year, and the big 12, all arguments would be based on the last two years, since thats when the new big east started, i think if they win out which i hope they dont, caus im a wvu student

| Re: Can Rutgers Play For National Title? Now now, merv, don't go putting words in my mouth. I've not talking about my personal feelings -- I'm simply saying, quite factually I'm sure you will agree, what needs to happen for the BCS, the voters, the computers and everyone else to consider Rutgers for the National Title game. If it comes down to the Scarlet Knights and a one-loss Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators or Notre Dame Fighting Irish team? You better believe Rutgers will lose out one way or another. That's just how college football works. Plus, there's no way they sell out a bowl game like some of the bigger schools, so even if they earn a BCS bowl bid, none of the bowls are REALLY going to want them, you know? |

| Re: Can Rutgers Play For National Title? how they will have beaten two top tens teams and still be undefeated?? their strength of schedule will prob be the best in the big east anyway. plus they still have to play south florida which could become bowl elgible, that means four or 5 bow eligble teams in the big east, i think they could however do i see them beatign lousiville yes, but not wvu, agaisnt the cards they will be able to control the clock, but i think wvu can control the clock much better then rutgers can. so its all mute anyway just wanted to argue |

| Re: Can Rutgers Play For National Title? If anyone thinks that Rutgers, who is a fine team, is better than a 1 loss Texas or Auburn or Florida, then I think that person may need their head examined. They would get killed by these teams in all likelihood. |
