What a great story this is - the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are ranked #23 in this week's Associated Press poll. This is the first time in 30 years that the State University of New Jersey has cracked the AP Top 25. They are also 4-0 for the first time in over two decades.

"I'm not going to downplay it. It is significant considering where we started," head coach Greg Schiano told the Associated Press earlier today. "It shows we're making progress in the right direction... the Rutgers program has had some up and down times as we know. I'm glad it's happening now and hope to keep it going."

Big congrats to the Scarlet Knights! Just how high of a ranking do you think these guys can achieve?

About time, I say. They've played well, their defense is a force to be wreckoned with and they will make noise in the Big East. I could see them reaching the mid-high teens in the coming weeks.

For their sake, I hope their coach doesn't leave to take the UofMiami job (when it's available).

Wow, Hokies - not a big Rutgers fan, I take it? Greg Schiano has done a fantastic job turning that program around, and while they might not have played any "real competition" they have more than proven that they are worthy of being a top 25 team. Come on, ranked for the first time in 3 decades? 4-0 for the first time in over 20 years? Doesn't that deserve a little respect?
