| Rutgers Shut Out Illinois, 33-0 Rutgers is now 2-0 on the season after shutting out the Fighting Illini, 33-0 earlier today. They looked pretty dominant in doing so, only allowing 41 yards passing and 66 yards rushing. The Scarlet Knights blocked a punt and intercepted Illinois QB Tim Bresic...both were returned for touchdowns in the first quarter.
I heard it was Rutgers first shut out since the 2002 season...wow. This win continues a three week homestand, before heading down to South Florida on the last week of September.
A great start to the season for Rutgers. |
