I'm a rodeo newbie but was noticing the news on the National High School Finals Rodeo. That's going on right now in Springfield, Il.

Do you rodeo fans get into NHSFR or do most rodeo fans focus on the pro bull riding and professional rodeo circuit?

National High School Rodeo Comes to Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill – Illinois Agriculture Director Chuck Hartke along with State Fair Manager Amy Bliefnick welcome contestants and spectators from across the globe to Springfield as the National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) prepare to get underway. Contestants will begin moving in Thursday, July 20 at noon and continue checking into the fairgrounds...

Lefty, just like racing, they start riding as soon as they can walk. We got our horse used to weight by putting not only the feed bags but our kids on her back. We would probably get throwen in jail now for child endangerment LJ Jenkins rode Raindeer Dippin last year for over 90 points,then had to get back for his classes. Watch some of the challenger tour, teenagers, same as there is in ARCA and other racing series.

im 17 and bullriding....it aint too bad been injured a couple of times here and there but u gotta cowboy up and get back on....

So how does that work in High School? Is it like Gym Class and you get a grade? Or is it like an extra curricular activity after school? I am guessing that you have to go somewhere else to actually ride the bulls...most high schools can't afford the extra tuition (hee hee)...Any way..is it only active during the school year or are you competing now?Huh? Huh/Huh?

Actually high school rodeo is just for kids under 19 who are still in school. It is not like in college. High school rodeo has nothin to do with school.

Well see thar'....you taught me something I did'nt know What is the age for College Rodeo school....?

Sure would be funny if they had Senior League for old folks

I am not sure what the age for college is...it is different...colleges actually have rodeo teams and it is for the school.
