Robert Earl Keen will kick things off on Friday, October 27th in the South Pacific Ballroom of Mandalay Bay directly following the first performance of the PBR World Finals. Keen is known for his soft twang-bluegrass instrumentals, as well as his aptitude for comical storytelling. Keen has often been recognized as the original pioneer of alternative country music that originated in the 1980s and 1990s. His stage presence has been described as funny, and imaginative; this entertainer has a gift for concocting musical narratives that sum up the state of Texas in all its glory. Nashville recording star, Tracy Byrd will wrap up the first weekend of the PBR World Finals, on Saturday, Oct. 28, treating PBR and country music fans alike to his unbridled stage presence and smooth baritone vocals. This Texas native has enjoyed successes in the country music business spanning 14 years. With such sing-along hits as "The Truth About Men" and "10 Rounds of Jose Cuervo", Byrd has never strayed from his own creative vision. His signature love tune "Keeper of the Stars" is just one of 13 number-one singles in Byrd's arsenal of hits. His new album "Different Things" is scheduled to be released on September 26, 2006. Byrd will debut much of his new music in conjunction with all of his former fan-favorites in the South Pacific Ballroom of the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino for just $22.
The PBR extends a prestigious invitation to all its loyal fans, to enjoy a monumental celebration on Thursday, November 2 directly following the fourth round of the PBR World Finals, in the South Seas Ballroom of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The Tribute to Rob Smets in Celebration of his Retirement featuring music legends Ricky & the Red Streaks will be a journey through the 27-year bullfighting career of living legend and lifesaver Rob Smets. All proceeds from the evening will go toward the Mikel Moreno Memorial Scholarship Fund. Tickets are available for $55.
The legendary Bellamy Brothers will take center stage on Friday, November 3. With countless chart-toppers like "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body", "Do You Love As Good As You Look" and "Let Your Love Flow", this timeless duo has been entertaining loyal fans for over 30 years. These self proclaimed "road dogs" put on a live-show as unique as their twangy sound, and draw larger crowds to their performances than they did at the height of their career in the 1980's. Back by popular demand to wrap-up the Club PBR after-parties at the 2006 Built Ford Tough World Finals is Pat Green. This native Texan is a gaining worldwide notoriety for his insightful country stylings and engaging live show. A 3-time Grammy nominee, Green is best known for hits "Wave On Wave" and "Don't Break My Heart Again". The time-tested virtue of hard work and a large grassroots following has allowed Green to become a country music superstar in his own right.
