Purdue's Moore warms to his task

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Always calm and collected, Purdue freshman E'Twaun Moore possesses a near-perfect scorer's mentality.

And just when Illinois began to make a second-half run Saturday at Assembly Hall, a player Illini coach Bruce Weber tried to recruit produced a near-perfect scoring sequence.

Moore scored 20 of his game- and career-best 24 points during the final 11 minutes, 23 seconds, leading streaking Purdue to an 83-75 Big Ten victory, the seventh in a row for the Boilermakers (17-5, 8-1).
