Blazers winning streak

According to the Associated Press, "The last time the Portland Trail Blazers managed a winning month was November 2004... At least, it was. Brandon Roy helped Portland to its eighth straight win with 24 points and eight assists in the Trail Blazers' 88-76 win over the New Orleans Hornets on Monday night."

This team's pretty hot right now. Think they can keep it up?

Make it nine straight with yesterday's 101-96 win over Toronto yesterday. Roy had 25 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists.

Cool Re: Blazers winning streak

It's up to 10. Maybe they have something here - and have Oden coming in next year.

They've definitely got a good young corps there, and if they can keep it together they may be a dangerous team in the years to come.

Yeah, imagine Oden coming back for this young team...anyone know how their Spanish guard is doing?

Re: Blazers winning streak

11 straight now. Boy are these guys on fire.

In the words of the Associated Press, "The latest win came Tuesday night when Brandon Roy and Jarrett Jack each scored 17 points and Portland beat the Seattle SuperSonics 89-79... The Blazers own the longest current winning streak in the NBA, and it's their best run since they won 12 in a row during the 2001-02 season." Think they can top that 12 in a row run?

Re: Blazers winning streak

The blazers with their young talent had proppeled their standing to the top. If they keep this up they will have a seed in the playoffs. The blazers are really playing well in these past weeks.

Years of top draft picks paying off...

LaMarcus Aldridge has been tearing it up this year...17.7 ppg and 7.6 rpg...I like to see what he could do with Oden in the line-up

Re: Blazers winning streak

13 straight, now, for the Blazers! Second longest winning streak in franchise history!

NBA - Philadelphia 76ers/Portland Trail Blazers Recap Sunday December 30, 2007 - Yahoo! Sports
While Brandon Roy is Portland's top scorer, the Trail Blazers look to Travis Outlaw in the fourth quarter... Outlaw, a reserve, was 1-for-7 from the floor for the first three quarters, but took over in the fourth as the Blazers went on a 21-0 run to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 97-72 on Sunday for their league-leading 13th straight win.

Re: Blazers winning streak

Well, the winning streak itself if over, but the team continues to impress.

As the Associated Press reports, "[LaMarcus] Aldridge scored 20 points to lead the Trail Blazers to their 18th win in the last 20 games, a 99-73 victory over the New Jersey Nets... Portland never trailed and got contributions from up and down the lineup. Brandon Roy scored 16 points, Jarrett Jack had 15, Travis Outlaw 13 and James Jones 10."
