Just heard on ESPN that the Portland Trailblazers are practicing as a team, even doing two-a-days. Five weeks before they're required to be. I love this, and yet part of me's surprised the union's not trying to force these guys to stop. Anyone else think this could lead to something special for the Blazers in 2007-08?

This could be good for them. They will be in game shape before other teams. It could help them later as long as they don't overdo the practices. It could wear them out at the end.

These are very young players and they should not have a problem with stamina.

That could go either way, though - rookies like Oden have never played this many games in a season. Rookies always tend to tire out somewhat during their first season. They're not used to it, and adding more to their already expanded slate might expediate the process and tire 'em out even quicker.
