| Portland, meet Greg Oden PORTLAND, Ore., June 29 (AP) -- Brand-new Trail Blazers center Greg Oden quickly got a feel for life in Portland - it rained. The 7-foot center out of Ohio State, wearing a black T-shirt emblazoned with his last name, was introduced Friday to Blazers fans at a lunchtime rally, some 16 hours after the team took him with the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. | Re: Portland, meet Greg Oden Lots of pressure on this kids shoulders, but I bet it's not as much in Portland as it would've been in New York, Boston or Chicago. How does that help his chances at working through any rookie angst and becoming the rock-solid center so many of us expect him to be?

| Re: Portland, meet Greg Oden I don't think he has as much pressure as people might think. he is not coming in to be a savior of the franchise. They already have young players they got last year playing well. He is just coming in as a missing piece. |
