| Brandon Roy - Rookie of the Year Brandon Roy of the Portland Trailblazers has been named the NBA's Rookie of the Year for 2007.
According to the Associated Press, "Roy received 127 out of a possible 128 first-place votes (638 points) for the award, known as the Eddie Gottlieb Trophy, from a panel of sports writers and broadcasters... The 6-foot-6, 229-pound guard was named the West's Rookie of the Month in January, February and March. He also made the All-Star game's rookie squad. He scored at least 20 points 16 times, including a career-high 29 against Utah on April 4."
No doubt about it. Roy was easily the best rookie in all of pro basketball this past season. |
