The only things he can do are score and rebound, but he happens to do both very well. He has a very nice touch around the basket and has really added a perimeter layer to his game. He also has a certain element of power that makes him tough to defend when he gets position on the low block. Even still, Randolph, for all his natural ability to score the ball, is still a black hole on offense. The Trail Blazers are more than willing to give him the ball, but once its in the post, it is never coming out. So, if you double down on the low block, you really hinder his ability to beat you on the offensive end. Defensively, he is absolutely nothing special. In fact, he is a liability.
I would take Howard every day of the week. His offensive game is burgeoning and he is a defensive stopper. You can have your stats, but I'll trust my eyes.
