Bill Cowher contract

According to the AP, "The Pittsburgh Steelers made official what has seemed evident for weeks: coach Bill Cowher is no longer negotiating an extension to a contract that runs through 2007." The team intends to restart discussions after the season, but with this and Jerome Bettis' recent comments, isn't it starting to look more and more like Cowher's fixing to call it a career?

Hey, snooker, and welcome to GoTeamsGo. I hear that Cowher has bought a nice house in North Carolina, so I was assuming he might be contemplating retirement. Where do you think he coaches next season? Will it be a pro team or a college one?

Re: Bill Cowher contract

Hey Lefty Noob , Thanks for the welcome I can see him go to whom ever going to give him the most in the cash department but it will be a team near his new home that's for sure , The guy has done his job in Pitt and he probably want to start over with a fresh new team , I don't see him to be retiring as of yet , He seem to still have it in his blood to continue but with a new team

Re: Bill Cowher contract

I just wonder if maybe he's looking at taking the North Carolina Tar Heels job when and if it opens after the season.

Re: Bill Cowher contract

He could coach the Tar Heels, or he may become an announcer for Fox.
