| Reed goes bonkers over empty towel dispenser Thirteen days ago, Steelers kicker Jeff Reed was preparing to win his second Super Bowl ring. Little more than twelve hours ago, Reed was getting saddled with two criminal counts. All due to an absence of paper towels. According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Reed “threw a tantrum” because of an empty paper towel dispenser at a convenience store. He began yelling loudly, and used profanity. He also banged on the dispenser, and damaged it. Reed continued to use profanity after leaving the store. The 29-year-old kicker eventually was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. | Re: Reed goes bonkers over empty towel dispenser I agree with the last poster. I'm so sick of this attitude of 'pay them, they're worth it'; and look how crazy it has gotten. these guys are playing ball for goodness sake. why don't the owners take a stand and let some of the worst just go away. this crazieness with TO; i'll bet dollars to doughnuts that someone picks up Vic upon h is release, if not already. who do you think ends up paying for it? Not to mention the role model thing. but we treat them 'special', and one year into a five year contract we let them jump up and down and throw a fit because someone else got some more money, and reward them with millions. and why is it always the youngsters that are yelling, pay them. pay them. |
