Ha ha! Yeah, I didn't even watch it yesterday. Athletic competition already has awards for the best teams and athletes -- they're called championships and MVP awards. Those are the awards that matter.

First of all, it's taped days in advance. It's useless and ESPN only does it to push their own agenda.

I'll agree, but without Vince Young where would they be, less of a team effort if you ask me, in college a team can get away with that, not so much the pro's (minus Shaq)

I agree with 24/8. The Team of The Year was the White Sox. Especially taking into consideration that they hadn't won in 80 years.

White Sox? Yeah, okay. That I can see. For the life of me, I couldn't think of any other, more worthy teams. Heat? Not really. Hurricanes? Don't think so. UT football? Nah, too much of a one-man show. But Chicago makes sense.

Too much of a one man show?...So Wade taken over the finals is too much of a one man show too?...or Lebron vs Pistons?...

So a team has to be lacking in major talent to win the award?...Had USC three-peated with Bush and Leinart it would have been okay cause they were a team...but if Young and Co. knock them off...its too much of a one man team?...Didn't the D make a 4th down stop before Young got to beat USC...wasn't Michael Huff and company (who if memory serves was taken higher than Leinhart) part of the team?

I was pullnig for USC big time, and still say this was team of the year...
