PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Steelers star Ben Roethlisberger, the youngest quarterback to lead a team to the Super Bowl championship, broke his jaw and nose in a motorcycle crash Monday in which he was not wearing a helmet. Roethlisberger was in serious but stable condition, Dr. Larry Jones, chief of trauma at Mercy Hospital said before surgery.

Totally crazy out on the road without a helmet!! I don't ride anymore, there are too many people out on the road "multi-tasking" while "driving" and all the people who think they're in a Fast and Furious movie. But, if i did venture out, I'd certainly have a helmet on. As far as a clause in his contract, maybe they should as he's been spoken to about it before. I know that others have clauses in their contracts. So, what do you think, will they put an addition in his clause, if he's still able to play?

I thought this might be a good addition to this thread as it applies to anybody who rides a bike, it's a very "sobering" thought as well as it could be sad but true, Ben is a very lucky man to not be in this situation
