Steelers first-round draft pick Rashard Mendenhall has injured his hamstring and missed minicamp practice, leading coach Mike Tomlin to question whether high draft picks have a schedule that leaves them ill-prepared to start working.
Tomlin said it is becoming commonplace for this sort of thing to happen to high round draft picks. He said they go to the combine, they go to their pro day and then they take a city tour.

Tomlin says he expects Mendenhall to be back with full participation at the next off season workouts on May 20.

I think Tomlin is probably right. How can these kids stay in shape? And more important, I dont think they understand the need for it. The NFL just isnt like college.
