Pittsburgh drafts Limas Sweed

With their second round pick, the Steelers selected Texas WR Limas Sweed. Great value pick at #53 overall... first round talent who scared off a few people with an injury. But this is the big target Roethlesberger's been looking for. So what do you think of the Sweed pick, Steeler fans?

Re: Pittsburgh drafts Limas Sweed

I love Sweed! He had a wrist injury that took him off the field last year but he should bounce back no problem. I really think Sweed can become the next Plaxico Burress!

If you don't mind me talking about Tony Hills and Dennis Dixon I'm worried why the Steelers took so many chances on players that missed so much time last season? Maybe the injuries caused these players to slip, and so the Steelers drafted them at an undervalued position in the draft. I think Sweed was top of the class at WR before he was injured, and Hills might have gone earlier as well. Makes me happy but worried that Hills might not pan out, especially when I read reports that he had a "career ending" type knee injury.

Steelers drafted Dixon? Well, he's a heck of an athlete... they may want to groom him to be their next Kordell/Randle El type.

ya they drafted him. He's a good WR/Slash prospect. Slash III in Pitt! I've mised Randle-el since he left, I'm glad we got another one back.
