The Pittsburgh Steelers apparently have 2 policies for their players who (allegedly) abuse females, one for starters and one for backups.
Two Steelers have recently been charged with abuse: starter James Harrison (Steelers defensive player of the year) and backup WR Cedrick Wilson.
Wilson was cut, Harrison kept. Rooney says the circumstances were different.

I am sure it is just a coincidence that the starter was kept and not the backup, right???

Well, reading the article and the comments that followed, it sounds like Wilson was a repeat criminal offender who had been told the team was taking a zero tolerance policy with him here on out, and that Harrison was a first time offender. At least that's the impression I get. If true, that would certainly explain everything.
